Welcome to the RELIGARE Case Law Database on religious diversity in Europe

The RELIGARE database offers coverage of a wide range of cases dealing with religious diversity in Europe. It consists of summaries of relevant court decisions related to each of the topics covered by the RELIGARE project. It takes into account the cases decided by the national courts in Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and by the European Court of Human Rights.

It includes summaries:

  • of the most significant cases brought before a national court since 1926 and before the European Court of Human Rights since 1983;
  • of every case brought before a national court and the European Court of Human Rights since 2010.
  • Most summaries provide a link to the full text of the judgment and to the legal materials made available. The database can be browsed by country, topic or keyword, and free search.
